A Celebration of Life!
This celebration of Margy's life is not only a reflection of how Margy lived her life in the past, but also the hope of her transitioning into her eternal afterlife.
The hope that there is eternal life for those who believe in Christ and follow His teachings gives us encouragement.
A good acronym for HOPE is "Having Only Positive Expectations."
The Apostle Paul writes: "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
(Philippians: 1:21)
Jesus said the two most important Commandments were: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
(Matthew 22:37-39)
Jesus also said, "The greatest among you will be your servant."
(Matthew 23:11)
Work is Love made visible and Margy chose the profession of Nursing to care for other people.
Her life was a testimony to her service for others and gives a shining legacy.

A Life Well Lived
Margy Lee Howell (Partridge), age 80, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, in Los Alamitos, California, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Margy was born on February 22, 1945, in Kearns, Utah, to Myron and Margaret Partridge and was raised in Long Beach, California, a city she proudly called home throughout her life. She graduated from Millikan High School in 1962, and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from California State University, Long Beach in 1967. She graduated, passed her State Board exam and got married all within 2 weeks time.
Margy dedicated her professional life to caring for others. While still in college, she began volunteering as a Candy Striper at St. Mary Hospital. After earning her nursing degree, she joined the hospital staff as a registered nurse and steadily advanced to become a charge nurse on the postpartum floor. When St. Mary later opened an outpatient clinic focused on providing prenatal care to underserved populations, Margy transferred to the clinic, where she played a pivotal role in getting the clinic off the ground, and later running and growing the program. Her compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to patients left a lasting impact on both colleagues and the families she served.
Outside of her career, Margy embraced life with joy and curiosity. She loved reading, traveling, playing Mahjong, watching her favorite soap operas, and spending time with her beloved cats. She was known for her love of dancing, her fondness for Stella Artois, and her ability to turn any gathering into a good time.
Margy had a rare gift for connection - she made friends wherever she went. She was deeply loyal, endlessly caring, and carried a smile that could light up a room. Her warmth and generosity touched countless lives.
Margy is survived by her devoted husband, Ross Howell; daughters, Tamilyn (Richie) and Angelique (Erik); grandchildren John (Laura), Julia, James, Anan, Angeni, Amira, Xander, and Miles; and great-grandchildren Quentin, Raiden, and Silas. She is also survived by her nephew, Jim Pine (Caryn) and her brothers-in-law Tom Pine, Royal Howell, and Russell Howell (Shelley).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Myron and Margaret Partridge, and her sister, Dawna Pine.
Margy will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, her dedication to caring for others, and the joy she brought into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
